Ancient Surya Mantra -

Om Japa Kusuma Sankaasham Kaashya Peyam Mahaa Dyutim |
Tamorim Sarva Papaghnam Pranathosmi Divakaram ||

ॐ जपाकुसुमसंकाशं काश्यपेयं महाद्युतिम् |
तमोरिं सर्वपापघ्नं प्रणतोस्मि दिवाकरम् ||

Meaning: I bow before the Sun, who is the cause of dawn, which dispels all darkness, which destroys all sins, incomparable in his brilliance, which is the son of Kashyapa and which is red like the flower of Japākusuma.


How to Chant Ancient Surya Mantra -

The ancient Surya mantra has a special power in praising the Sun.

It is said that the best time to chant the Surya mantra is early in the morning. (Daybreak)

Start singing daily, it should be chanted 108 times. 

Try to start chanting the old Mantra Surya on Sunday during Shukla Paksha (Crescent Phase).
